What it is
NetView ECO is a dealer management system, or DMS, from HBS Systems. A DMS is one system that runs the whole store: sales, service, parts, rental, and accounting. HBS says NetView ECO is web-native, which means it runs in a browser. There is no server humming in your back room.
What the vendor says
The NetView ECO page says it is purpose-built for multi-location dealership groups, connecting every department across every branch. It highlights ActiveDesktop, a dashboard each person can set up with over 100 real-time data tiles. It also highlights security and core DMS features across departments.
Who uses it
An HBS brochure shows a historical testimonial from C & N Tractors. Historical means old. It shows the product has history, but it is not proof of a current user. Ask HBS for current reference dealers near your size and confirm them yourself.
Words you will hear
- Web-native: the system runs in a browser. No server in your back room, and updates come from the vendor.
- ActiveDesktop: HBS's name for the home screen each person sets up with live data tiles.
- Tile: one live number or list on the dashboard, like open quotes or aged units.
- DealerCare: HBS's name for its setup, onboarding, and training program.
Where to be careful
- No public price was found on the pages we checked on 2026-11-05. Ask for a written quote.
- Check which modules are optional and which edition you are quoted.
- A historical testimonial is not a current reference. Confirm your own.
- We did not test a private account. This guide is from public documents only.
Questions for your demo
- Which modules are standard, and which cost extra?
- Show us ActiveDesktop set up for a sales manager and a service manager.
- How do branches share inventory and customers?
- What does DealerCare onboarding include?
- Can we call two current dealers our size?
Which dealers it fits
The vendor's own positioning is multi-location dealership groups, and the web-native design fits a group that wants no servers in back rooms. A single store can still use a browser-based system, but the multi-branch features are where the value concentrates. If you have one location and simple needs, ask HBS directly whether a single-store setup makes sense, and compare against the OPE-focused systems on this site before committing.
A realistic demo scenario
Suggested script: ask them to build ActiveDesktop for your sales manager live — open quotes, aging inventory, and follow-ups due today — then for your service manager with open work orders and tech hours. Then have them transfer a unit between two branches and show both stores' inventory updating. Finish by asking what happens when the internet goes down at one branch. Browser-based systems live and die on that answer.
Cost questions to bring
No public price was found on the pages we checked on 2026-11-05. Ask for a line-item quote: which edition, which modules, per-branch or per-user pricing, DealerCare onboarding scope, training, and monthly hosting and support. Ask what is included in DealerCare versus billed separately, and get the onboarding plan in writing with your store's name on it.
Our honest take
NetView ECO's web-native design and role-based dashboards match how modern dealer groups want to work, and DealerCare onboarding with your own data is a good sign. The cautions: the public testimonial we found is historical, not current, and no public numeric price or module split was found on the pages we checked on 2026-11-05. Confirm current references yourself, watch the two-role dashboard demo, and compare the three-year total against the other systems here before you sign. One more thing worth asking: because the system runs in a browser, ask how it handles a slow connection at a rural branch, and what your team does on the day the internet drops. A good vendor has a plain answer ready.
