Customer management

NetView ECO customer management

How customer records work in a web-native DMS, why one shared record matters across branches, and a follow-up what-if tool.

Based on public product documentation. We have not tested a private account. Sources checked 2026-11-05. Product names belong to their owners; this is an independent guide, not an endorsement.

One customer, one record

Customer management means every department sees the same customer. Sales sees what service did. Service sees what the customer bought. The office sees what they owe. In a multi-branch group, a customer who buys in one town and needs service in another should be the same record, not two.

What the vendor says

HBS says NetView ECO connects every department across every branch. That is the right promise for customer management. Public pages do not show the customer screens in detail, so test them live: pull up a customer and see how many clicks it takes to see their whole relationship.

What to check in the demo

  • One screen with units owned, service history, and balance.
  • A customer who exists at two branches: one record or two?
  • Follow-up lists: quotes with no call in 7 days.
  • Contact preferences: call, text, or email.
  • Who can see and edit what, by role.

A follow-up what-if

Use the tool below with your own numbers: leads per month, a small lift in conversion, average gross profit per deal, and the monthly software cost. If one shared customer record helped your team win even one extra deal a month, what is that worth? It is a what-if, not a promise. The system keeps the record; your people still build the relationship.

Worked example

A contractor calls the branch near his job site about a noisy mower deck. The writer pulls up his record and sees he bought six mowers from another branch last year and always pays on time. He gets treated like the good customer he is, not a stranger. That is one record doing its job.

A worked task: the two-branch customer

Suggested demo test: pull up a customer who bought at one branch and had service at another. Inputs: one shared customer. Expected output: one record showing the purchase, the service history, and the balance, with no duplicate. The exception to probe: how duplicates get merged. Every dealer has them, and a system with no clean merge path turns your shared-record promise into a cleanup project.
