Quote handoff

Texada Equipment CRM and the quote handoff

How a quote should move from rep to desk in a sales CRM, what clean quote data does for financing, and what to test.

The handoff problem

Deals can stall in the handoff. The rep writes a number on a card. The desk re-types it. The numbers do not match. A sales CRM keeps the opportunity and its details in one place, so the person working the financing sees what the rep promised.

Where the CRM stops

Texada sells iQuote as a separate product for quoting. Do not assume Equipment CRM builds quotes itself. Ask exactly where a quote is created in your stack, and how its details reach the CRM record. The answer decides whether your handoff is clean or re-typed.

Where financing fits

A funding firm wants the year, model, hours, serial number, and price. If those fields live on the CRM opportunity, the financing file is half done when the deal is handed over. Ask to see those fields on a real opportunity in the demo.

Handoff checklist for your team

  • Opportunity shows unit year, model, hours, and serial number.
  • Trade-in, if any, is on the record, not a side note.
  • Buyer contact info is complete.
  • The rep logs why the buyer wants the machine.
  • Financing need is flagged before the desk calls the buyer.

A worked task: trace one deal to the money

Suggested demo test: take one real deal from first call to financing handoff. Inputs: a customer, a unit, and a buyer who needs financing. Expected output: the opportunity carries the year, model, hours, serial number, and price, so the funding file starts complete. The exception to settle first: where the quote is actually built. Texada sells iQuote separately, so ask whether your quote data flows into the CRM or gets typed in, and plan around the real answer.

Do this week

Pull your last five financed deals and check how many needed a second ask for machine details. Each round trip is time your buyer spent shopping someone else.
