What is public
Tractor Zoom publishes product pages, a comparison resource, and a blog, which shows an active product team. What we could not confirm from public pages on 2026-11-05: staffed support hours, response time promises, and how training is priced. Unconfirmed means we do not know, not that it is bad.
The Salesforce support question
Because Anvil Pro is built on Salesforce, ask who answers when something breaks: the Anvil Pro team, or a Salesforce layer you manage. For most dealers, the right answer is one phone number owned by the vendor. Get that answer before you sign.
Training questions that matter
- Is training live, recorded, or both?
- Is training priced by session, by person, or included?
- Do reps hired later get training?
- Is there a practice area where reps can learn safely?
- Who do we call in week one after rollout?
The reference check
Tractor Zoom names Great Plains Kubota, LandPro, and United Ag & Turf in its customer evidence. Ask for two references near your size and call them. Ask one question: when something breaks on a busy Saturday, what happens? The answer tells you more than any brochure.
Write it into the deal
Support hours, channels, response targets, and training sessions belong in the contract, and so does the answer to who owns the Salesforce layer when something breaks. Friendly promises in a demo are not a contract.
A worked task: the one-number test
Suggested exercise: ask who you call when something breaks — the Anvil Pro team or a Salesforce layer — and get the answer in writing. Inputs: one question. Expected output: one phone number owned by the vendor. The exception to probe: platform problems versus product problems. Ask for an example of each and who handles it, because the middle of a quote is the wrong time to learn where the line is.
Do this week
Ask two reference dealers the Saturday question: something broke on a busy morning, what happened? Write down who answered and how fast.
| Term | What it really means |
|---|---|
| Help center | Self-serve articles and guides |
| Staffed support | A person answers during set hours |
| SLA | A written promise on response time |
| Practice area | A safe copy to learn in |
| Rollout support | Extra help in the first weeks |
