The follow-up pieces
Anvil Pro's public feature page lists customer segmentation, activity tracking, and reminders. In plain words: group your customers, see what your team did, and get nudged before a deal goes cold. Those three pieces are the skeleton of dealer follow-up.
Why segmentation matters
A segment is a group with something in common: everyone who bought a mower three-plus years ago, every commercial account, every customer who quotes but never buys. Good segments turn follow-up from random calls into aimed ones. Ask to build a segment live in the demo, from your own rules.
What to check in the demo
- Build a segment from purchase history.
- Log a call and see it on the customer record.
- Set a reminder and see where it appears.
- See every open quote and its age.
- See which leads were never touched.
A follow-up what-if
Use the tool below with your own numbers: leads per month, a small lift in conversion, average gross profit per deal, and the monthly software cost. If aimed follow-up won even one extra deal a month, what is that worth? It is a what-if, not a promise. The segments aim the work; your reps still do it.
A worked task: build one real segment
Suggested demo test: build a segment of customers who bought a machine three-plus years ago and have no open quote. Inputs: your sales history rules. Expected output: a list you could hand to a rep today, with a reminder attached. The exception to test: segments are only as good as the data under them. Ask what happens with customers whose purchase history lives in your DMS, because a segment that cannot see those purchases is missing its best members.
Do this week
Write the three customer groups you would market to if you could find them easily. Those are the first three segments to build in the demo.
| List | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Old quotes, no contact | Buyers waiting on an answer |
| New leads, no first call | Speed wins deals |
| Sold 30 days ago | Catch problems early, earn reviews |
| Past due for upgrade | Their machine is aging out |
| Service-only customers | They trust you, but never bought |
Follow-up what-if tool
A what-if scenario, not a promise. Better follow-up may not cause more sales. Entered numbers only; illustrative defaults.
| Extra deals per month (scenario) | 1.0 |
| Gross profit from those deals | $2,000 |
| Net after software cost | $1,500 |
