Handle CRM review: dealer follow-up, now in the Texada family

A plain-English look at Handle CRM (CustomerTRAX): what it does, who owns it now, and what to ask in a demo.

What it is

Handle CRM is a sales follow-up tool for equipment dealers. CRM means customer relationship management: the system that remembers every lead, call, quote, and promise. Handle's focus is the daily work of a sales team: tasks, follow-up lists, and customer history in one place.

Who owns it now

Handle joined the Texada family, and the product is tied to CustomerTRAX. A merger announcement on Texada's help site covers the change. In plain words: the product continues, under a bigger roof. Ask the vendor what the merger means for your contract, your data, and the product roadmap before you sign.

What it is not

Handle CRM is not handle.com, a construction payments company. Same first name, different business entirely. If you find reviews about construction payments or lien paperwork, you are reading about the wrong company. Check the domain and the topic before you trust anything you read. It is also not a full dealer management system: it does not run your parts counter, service shop, or accounting. It sits beside the system that does, and its job is the sales follow-up that system does not do well.

What the vendor documents

Handle's public help files include a DIT integration article. DIT is a John Deere data feed, so that article is about John Deere dealers specifically. It shows the product has real, documented connections, but it does not prove connections for other brands. Ask which of your brands are covered, in writing.

Where to be careful

  • No public price was found on the pages we checked on 2026-11-05. Ask for a written quote.
  • The documented DIT integration is John Deere specific. Do not assume other brands connect the same way.
  • Ownership changed. Confirm what happens to support, pricing, and the product plan.
  • We did not test a private account. This guide is from public documents only.

Which dealers it fits

Based on the public pages, Handle fits a dealer whose reps need a daily follow-up list more than a new store system. The John Deere data connection makes it most interesting to John Deere dealers. If you sell other brands, the first question is not features — it is whether your brands' data flows in at all.

A realistic demo scenario

Suggested demo test: ask the vendor to show a rep's morning. Open the task list, work a follow-up call, log the outcome, and set the next step, then show the manager's view of who did what. If you are a John Deere dealer, also ask to see the DIT data on a real customer record. If you are not, ask what your records would show instead. Finish with the question that matters most: show one deal from first call to closed, and point to every place a person still types something twice.

Cost questions to bring

No public price was found on the pages we checked on 2026-11-05. Ask for a line-item quote: per-user monthly cost, setup, data migration, training, and any charge for brand data connections. Because ownership changed, also ask whether pricing or packaging is changing, and get the answer in writing.

Our honest take

Handle's strength is focus: it is a follow-up tool, not a do-everything system. The documented John Deere data connection is real evidence for Deere dealers. The open questions are price, coverage for other brands, and what the Texada ownership change means over time. If you run a John Deere store and follow-up is your leak, it deserves a demo. If you run other brands, ask the coverage question first and get the answer in writing. Either way, ask the ownership questions early: what happens to your price, your data, and your support contact if the product is folded further into the Texada family. A vendor with a clear answer to that is a vendor you can plan around.
