Handle CRM mobile workflows
What mobile follow-up looks like for equipment reps, and how to test Handle on the phones your team actually carries.

Follow-up happens away from the desk
Equipment reps work the lot, the yard, and the customer's site. A follow-up tool that only works at a desk gets updated at the end of the day, if at all. The promise of a mobile CRM is simple: log the call while the customer is still standing there.
What to test on your own phone
- Open today's task list in two taps.
- Log a call outcome in under a minute.
- Set the next follow-up before you leave the lot.
- Open a customer's history before you walk in.
- Work offline or in bad signal, and see what syncs later.
Test with your real conditions
Do not test mobile on the vendor's laptop. Bring the phone your reps actually carry and stand in your own yard. A follow-up tool that is painful on a phone becomes an empty follow-up tool, and an empty tool is worse than none, because it looks like work is happening when it is not.
The adoption question
Ask the vendor what dealers do to get reps actually using the mobile app, and ask your reference dealers the same question. The honest answer is usually management rhythm: the pipeline is reviewed every week, so reps keep it current.
A worked task: the two-tap test
Suggested demo test: from the phone's home screen, count the taps to today's task list. Inputs: your own phone. Expected output: two or three taps, not a hunt. The exception to test: the first cold morning of the season. Gloves, glare, and one hand are the real conditions. A follow-up tool that is fiddly in those conditions gets used at the desk, which means it barely gets used.
Do this week
Watch how your reps actually record a customer conversation today. The tool you pick has to be easier than that, or it will not win.
| Where | What to test |
|---|---|
| The lot | Task list and call logging |
| The customer's site | History lookup before the visit |
| The truck | Next-step reminder before driving off |
| The manager's phone | Team activity view |
