What is public
Handle's help content now lives on Texada's help site, which shows the documentation moved with the product. What we could not confirm from public pages on 2026-11-05: staffed support hours, response time promises, and how training is priced under the new ownership. Unconfirmed means we do not know, not that it is bad.
The merger support question
When a product changes owners, support can change too: new phone numbers, new ticket systems, new people. Ask who answers your call now, and ask a current customer whether support got better or worse after the change. That answer is worth more than any announcement.
Training questions that matter
- Is training live, recorded, or both?
- Is training priced by session, by person, or included?
- Do reps hired later get training?
- Is there a practice area where reps can learn safely?
- Who do we call in week one after rollout?
Write it into the deal
Support hours, channels, response targets, and training sessions belong in the contract. Under new ownership, this matters more, not less. Friendly promises in a demo are not a contract.
A worked task: the who-answers-now check
After a merger, support can change hands. Suggested exercise: ask for the current support path in writing — phone, email, portal, hours — and then ask a current customer whether it matches reality. Inputs: one vendor answer, one customer answer. Expected output: the gap between the two, if any. The exception to probe: the first ninety days. Ask what rollout support looks like specifically, because that is when your team needs a person, not a portal.
Do this week
Write down your store's real hours, including Saturdays in season. Support that starts after your busiest morning is a fact worth knowing before you sign.
| Term | What it really means |
|---|---|
| Help site | Self-serve articles and guides |
| Staffed support | A person answers during set hours |
| SLA | A written promise on response time |
| Practice area | A safe copy to learn in |
| Rollout support | Extra help in the first weeks |
