Flyntlok accounting and integrations
How Flyntlok runs dealership operations and connects to QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct, which keep the general ledger. What to ask about the connection.

Operations here, ledger there
Flyntlok's own accounting pages describe a split: Flyntlok runs the dealership's operations — sales, parts, service, rental — and connects to QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct, which keep the general ledger, financial statements, and accounting controls. A part sold or a ticket closed in Flyntlok becomes an entry that flows to the accounting system instead of being re-typed. Flyntlok's October 15, 2026 release notes also document a QuickBooks Online posting manager. Confirm which accounting systems and editions your quote covers, and whether the connection is included or priced separately.
Reports that matter for dealers
- Gross profit by department: sales, parts, service, rental.
- Aged inventory: units and parts sitting too long.
- Tech hours paid versus billed.
- Open quotes by rep and by age.
- Seasonal comparisons: this April versus last April.
What to ask
- Which accounting system do you support for our store: QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or both?
- Is the accounting connection included, or priced separately?
- What posts automatically, and what still needs a person?
- Which integrations on the overview page apply to our store?
- How does our outside accountant get what they need at tax time?
- Can I build my own report without a support ticket?
The rekeying audit
If your office exports data to spreadsheets to build reports, count that time. Hours per month times the loaded hourly cost is real money. Use the tool below. Good built-in reports and real integrations should make most of that labor go away.
A worked task: the integrations-overview read
Flyntlok publishes an integrations overview page, so use it. Suggested exercise: read it before the demo and mark every connection your store would use. Inputs: twenty minutes and the page. Expected output: a specific list to verify instead of a vague is-it-integrated question. The exception to check: a connection listed on an overview page is a starting point, not a depth guarantee. Ask what actually flows through each one you marked.
A worked task: post a sale, check the ledger
Suggested demo test: have the vendor post one parts sale in Flyntlok, then show where that entry lands in QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct and how it reconciles. Inputs: one sale, one accounting connection. Expected output: the same dollars in both systems with no re-typing, and a clear answer on what happens when a posting fails. The exception to check: ask what does not flow automatically, because the manual remainder is where month-end labor hides.
Do this week
Ask your office what they export to spreadsheets each month. Every export on that list is a report or integration the system should replace.
| Report | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Gross profit by department | Which department pays the bills? |
| Aged inventory | Which units are stuck? |
| Tech hours billed vs paid | Is the shop efficient? |
| Seasonal comparison | Are we beating last year? |
| Charge account balances | Who owes us, and how old is it? |
