What the vendor lists
The c-Systems homepage describes an inventory level calculator that bases its data on your store's sales demand. In plain words: reorder suggestions that learn from what you actually sell. It also lists a parts location feature to look up parts at nearby dealerships, which is unusual and useful when a customer needs a part you do not have.
Why demand-based reordering matters
OPE is seasonal. Belts and blades fly in spring and sit in winter. A reorder suggestion based only on last month will leave you short in April. A suggestion based on sales demand across seasons is the right idea. Ask to see it work with a full year of data.
What to test in the demo
- Look up a part by number, description, and by the machine it fits.
- See on-hand, on-order, and sold-this-year counts.
- Build a reorder list and check it against last spring.
- Use the dealer-to-dealer parts lookup.
- Sell a part over the counter and watch stock update.
The rekeying audit
If your parts person types an order into the system and then again into a supplier website, count it. Orders per month times minutes each is real labor. Use the tool below to put dollars on it. That number tells you what a real supplier connection is worth.
Honest limit
Public pages list integrations for parts ordering with OEMs and distributors, but no full list was found on the pages we checked on 2026-11-05. Get the list for your brands in writing before you sign.
A worked task: the neighbor-dealer lookup
c-Systems lists a parts location feature that checks nearby dealerships. Suggested demo test: look up a part you do not stock and see if a nearby dealer has it. Inputs: one real part number from your special-order pile. Expected output: an answer for the customer while they are still at the counter. The exception to understand: the level calculator bases reorder suggestions on your sales demand, so it needs real history to be smart. Ask how it handles a new store or a new product line with no history yet.
Do this week
Count last month's lost parts sales — the ones where the customer needed it today and you did not have it. That count is what the lookup feature is worth to you.
| Number | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Fill rate | How often the part is on the shelf when needed |
| Turns | How fast parts dollars cycle |
| Dead stock | Parts with no sales in a year |
| Seasonal spikes | What last spring says about this spring |
| Emergency orders | Rush orders that cost extra freight |
Rekeying cost tool
Count the records your team types twice each month. Entered numbers only; illustrative defaults.
| Hours re-typing per month | 6.0 |
| Labor value of that time | $180 |
| Monthly total (labor + software) | $380 |
| Scenario cost per funded dealRe-typing labor plus the software cost you entered only. Not your full cost to close a deal. | $38.00 |
